MILWAUKEE® LAUNCHES A NEW RANGE OF CARBIDE BURRS BRINGING TRADESMEN GREATER PRECISION WHEN GRINDING, CHAMFERING AND REMOVING BURRS

To bring tradesmen working with all types of metal and hard materials greater accuracy and flexibility, MILWAUKEE® are launching a new range of carbide burrs. The range will ensure that metalworkers across a number of trades can carry out all manner of tasks with ease.

Milwaukee’s® new carbide burrs provide double cut toothing geometry which ensures excellent material removal and low vibrations for easier handling and smaller swarfs.

Carbide burrs

Carbide burrs are an essential accessory for workers across a number of trades including metalworkers, car bodybuilders and those working in shipyards, allowing them to carry out fine detail tasks such as deburring, finishing, carving, chamfering, sculpting and shaping and smoothing welds, moulds, dies and forgings.

Thanks to trusted MILWAUKEE® engineering, the new range of carbide burrs will allow workers to carry out these tasks on a wide range of hard materials with the reassurance that the tools at hand are versatile, durable and fit for purpose.

The range of carbide burrs features two 5-piece sets with either 10mm heads or 12.7mm heads, all with a 6mm shank for use across corded or cordless die grinders. The choice of 5 different head types gives users the flexibility to carry out a wide range of tasks across a wide range of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as plastic, gold, ceramics, fiberglass and wood.

The 5 head types featured in each set are; Type B: End cut cylinder for top and side cutting

Type C: Cylindrical ball nose for top and side cutting Type D: Ball for milling holes and creating concave cuts Type H: Flame for contouring

Type M: Cone for angled edges and narrow contours

All of the adapters boast trusted MILWAUKEE® design features that make completing the tasks at hand easier and quicker.

The range is manufactured from tungsten carbide, an extremely hard metal meaning that these accessories can withstand high temperatures and work well across many different materials.

Compared to steel burrs, the carbide burrs are more durable and can be used for long production runs giving users the peace of mind that their equipment will do the task at hand and can be used time and again whilst still maintaining a sharp cutting edge.

The carbide burrs boast double cut tooth geometry which brings a host of benefits for the user.

This geometry ensures low vibrations which results in easier handling and therefore smaller swarfes.

It also allows for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as non-metal materials for greater versatility.

The double cut tooth geometry will remove material quickly and give a smooth finish increasing efficiency for the worker.

Each carbide burr set comes in a hard-wearing, plastic storage case to aid organisation and avoid a messy, disorganized workspace which can lead to unnecessary lost time.
